SS Edmund Fitzgerald Agate Necklace

This commenerative pendant is a Lake Superior Moss Agate, cut by Northern Raven Studio. A pierced image of the lake is on the back, an anchor hangs on the end of the adjustable chain with an imagined ship hull and metal cable pendant design. The last voyage of this ship was November 10, 1975. Included onboard was a cousin from my father's family. Growing up, I didn't always understand my family"s obsession with the Great Lakes and ships, yet when I realized the importance, it's about our people"s heritage and connection with this large, dangerous, beautiful and abundant body of water.
